Cell Phone Policy

Updated Student Cell Phone Policy for the 2026-2027 School Year

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform families about an important change to our student cell phone policy. This update is in response to Indiana Senate Bill 78, which requires schools to implement a "bell-to-bell" policy limiting student cell phone use during the school day.

Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, students will be required to power off their cell phones and store them away for the duration of the school day. At our school, this means cell phones must be turned off and put away from 8:25 AM until 3:00 PM.

This policy is designed to minimize distractions, support student engagement in learning, and create a more focused educational environment. We appreciate the partnership of our students and families as we implement this state-mandated change.

Additional information regarding expectations and procedures will be shared prior to the start of the school year. You can also learn more about the updated Student Cell Phone Policy in the Parent Student Handbook.
